Seismic Inversion Problem Using a Multioperator Whale Optimization Algorithm

چکیده

The whale optimization algorithm (WOA) is a metaheuristic based on swarm intelligence and it mimics the hunting behavior of whales. It has imperfection premature convergence into local optima. In order to overcome this disadvantage, multioperator WOA (MOWOA) proposed. Four main strategies are introduced MOWOA heighten search capacity WOA. include nonlinear adaptive parameter design, an exploration mechanism honey badger, Cauchy factor strategy, greedy strategy. This paper tests versatility with three different types benchmark functions, kind seismic inversion problem trialed run. From experimental results, performance outperforms compared algorithms in global optimization.

A Novel Hybrid Whale Optimization Algorithm to Solve a Production-Distribution Network Problem Considering Carbon Emissions

Nowadays, there is a great deal of attention for regulations of carbon emissions to enforce the decision-makers of production and distribution networks to redesign their systems satisfactorily. The literature has seen a rapid interest in developing novel metaheuristics to solve this problem as a complicated optimization problem. Such difficulties motivate us to address a production-distribution...

A new stochastic 3D seismic inversion using direct sequential simulation and co-simulation in a genetic algorithm framework

Stochastic seismic inversion is a family of inversion algorithms in which the inverse solution was carried out using geostatistical simulation. In this work, a new 3D stochastic seismic inversion was developed in the MATLAB programming software. The proposed inversion algorithm is an iterative procedure that uses the principle of cross-over genetic algorithms as the global optimization techniqu...

Fault Location in Active Distribution Networks Using Improved Whale Optimization Algorithm

To realize the self-healing concept of smart grids, an accurate and reliable fault locator is a prerequisite. This paper presents a new fault location method for active power distribution networks which is based on measured voltage sag and use of whale optimization algorithm (WOA). The fault induced voltage sag depends on the fault location and resistance. Therefore, the fault location can be f...

A new non-linear least squares algorithm for the seismic inversion problem

We describe the problem of simultaneous determination of hypocentre locations and velocity structure, using data from microearthquake networks, and briefly discuss some of the techniques which have been proposed for its solution. In particular we examine the method of Thurber, as implemented in his program SIMUWL, where the problem is formulated as a non-linear least-squares problem. A new prog...

Inverse modeling of HEM data using a new inversion algorithm

Helicopter-borne frequency-domain electromagnetic (HEM) surveys are used extensively for mineral and groundwater exploration and a number of environmental investigations. To have a meaningful interpretation of the measured multi- frequency HEM data, in addition to the resistivity maps which are provided in each frequency or for some particular depth levels, it is a necessity ...
